    IP 1616 with3 BM32 button issues

    Hey Guy/Gals,

One of my customers has a 1616 Ip phone with 3 DBM32's and they're having problems that I cannot seem to identify. The 1616 is powered through a local power supply. We've changed out the phone, the button modules, power supply and patch cables.

Basically what happens is the third DBM32 mimics the programming on the 2nd module and proceeds to freeze up. we can reboot and solve the issue for maybe an hour and then it happens again. We've swapped the positions of the button module and it always happens to the third one.

    Any ideas?

    Figured it out.

Apparently, though Avaya states you can have 3 DBM32's on 1 1616, the power supply is insufficient to power all 3 BMs and the phone. We went back to PoE and have a separate power supply for the 3rd DBM only. Seems to be working fine now.

Thanks apolma for posting how you were able to resolve - that will help other users in the future.
