Had the telephone guy put in an Avaya IP 500 v2 at a client of mine who wants to have their voicemail messages forwarded to their email accounts. The device is on the same network as an exchange server (192.168.1.201 for the Avaya and .250 for the exchange). IP and port are correct in the SMTP section of the Avaya, but no voicemail messages are ever forwarded through. The exchange server just shows a HELO in the logs and nothing else. Im no expert at either Avaya products or Exchange (someone else setup the server) but have been tasked with finding a solution. Anyone have any ideas what could be the problem?
