IP Office what is required and configuration

    Hello,

We have both our internet and phone from local provider, we are changing provider and would like to purchase Avaya IP Office system, however I have no idea what is required could someone please guide me.

Will the system work with our excising Polycom IP 330 phones?
Currently when we want to add a line we call the provider and he gives us a phone with phone number, how will this process work with IP Office system, how will I go about obtaining additional lines/numbers?
Will I loose my current numbers if I switch?

    Regards,
    Shimi

So you will be getting SIP lines from your new provider?

Polycom 330 phones are discontinued, however IP Office Release 9 (current release) documentation references compatibility with Polycom 320 (also discontinued)

Telephone number provider simply adds telephone numbers to your account, you add routing in the IP Office to receive calls and route based on the number the caller dialed.

Only your current and new telephone number providers can answer the question regarding keeping the current numbers.

The questions you have posed show that you should contact an authorized Avaya business partner to investigate your needs and design a solution. SIP trunking on IP Office is not for an unseasoned user to implement successfully.

I am very unseasoned and would like to learn.

I have no idea about SIP line from the new provider, I didn't know anything extra is needed, we are getting fiber connection from AT&T.

How would I go about getting new phone numbers?
