Out of hours support voicemail - IP Office 6.0

    Hi all

I am trying to setup an out of hours voicemail for our IT support line on IP Office Manager 6.0. I realise it is probably really out of date but upgrading it and learning how to use it properly is another story. I will also mention I don't know how to use it all that well, as it was setup for us by someone else a long time ago. I can get by managing people's extensions and the phone directory but that's about it.

Anyway on the same box we have Voicemail Pro client, which I've also managed to setup a rudimentary call routing system. E.g. it will play a greeting message, press 1 if you have a new request, 2 for existing, sorry we're busy etc. Would it be best to put the time profile in here and if so how do I go about doing that?

Alternatively I believe it may be possible in IP Office Manager, using time profiles and hunt groups? If that's the better option then how do I set it up?

I appreciate there may be some confusion as I am not all that familiar with this in the first place, so please ask any questions...

Since you're already routing IT Support calls to a module in VoiceMail Pro, you can create a Time Profile for valid business hours in VM Pro with the Condition Editor, intercept the call flow before it hits the first menu, check if the department is open or closed, and if open send them to the original starting menu, if closed - well you didn't say what you want to happen next. I would guess perhaps a mailbox that outcalls the person on call or emails someone?

Thanks, I'll look at the Condition Editor and see if I can get something working.

Well I've setup a condition with a Week Planner with our support hours; what do I do next? I guess I link to "Test condition" and if "true" go to our usual welcome/menu system. If "false" I now want it to take a message. How do I set that up?

Connect the False condition to a Leave Mail action and put the mailbox number in the specific tab
