    IP500v2 v9.0.3 Send original calling party for forwarded and twinning calls

    IP500v2 V9.0.3 with BT Isdn 2 in UK
    We have had quite a few requests recently for forwarded calls to present the calling party's CLI, most of these customers have moved from analogue lines and had previously used BT Star Services.

    BT Isdn2 is Point to Point
    We have tried altering the line settings and enabling Partial Rerouting & Send origional calling party for forwarded and twinning calls and we can see the cpn number of the caller being sent out on system status but this seems to be blocked by BT and the Isdn2 number is always presented.

    Has anybody got this working?
    If so what Isdn features did you have to enable on the Isdn2 circuit

    Not possible in the uk on isdn circuits , BT forbid this and block the service at network level.

    You can get this to work on sip trunks Voice flex i know works , that said Avaya did break this on around R7 ,R9 now works, though my point being it could well happen again.

        Thanks for the reply richa164, I know this works on Sip but these customers prefer the reliability of iSDN2.
        Some forums say it does work http://www.tek-tips.com/viewthread.cfm?qid=1698373
        So I hoped to get a respoinse from an Avaya Bod to confirm yes or no!

          The Avaya system does support the feature , this thread is slightly different as it uses partial re-routing meaning line signalling messages drop the call from the ipo and connect through to end user.

          First check with BT if cli type 4/5 is allowed on BRI yet , if not you will have to pay for partial re-routing and tick the field on the line form in Manager.

            I am currently working on similar issue. What I found is that you need to ask your carrier to activate on the ISDN lines the feature called "CLID no screening" or "CLID no screening special".

            On the otherhand side you need to make sure that in your ISDN trace you sent the redirecting number.

            InformationElement = CallingPartyNumber

            InformationElement = Sending Complete

            I am facing now the problem that the number is properly shown but my carrier does reject all other calls. I am working on it and I hope I get it working. As soon as it works I will post my solution.
