    SAC Button removal

    Hello,

I'm not sure if this is the correct forum to ask this question, but I have been all through the software and phone features and cannot find a way to do this. I recently took over IT for a small business with an Avaya phone system. The manager wants to remove the SAC button from several of their phones and the searching I found only seems to mention how to remove it with an admin button. None of these phones have an admin button programmed. The phones in question are Avaya 5410's. I next checked for a way to remove it from the Avaya software on the server. The software suite was Avaya IP Office r7 Manager(version 9). I cannot find anyway to remove the button from the software either.

If this is the wrong forum, I'm sorry. Any help or guidance would be much appreciated. Thank you all for your time.

This will either be under the individual user , or in the user rights section on the button programming tab

Thanks so much for getting back to me. I had seen the "Button Programming" tab on the User section, but when I clicked on the "Send All Calls" button, hit Remove, and then Okay, it did not actually remove it from the phone when I went and checked.

Do the phones need to be physically rebooted, or does the programming need to be sent in a particular way after all changes have been made?

You need to save the changes back to the system for them to take effect.

IP Office Manager receives a copy of the configuration from the IP Office system and you then make changes to that copy. You need to send the copy back to the system for your changes to take effect.

The IP Office Manager help is very good and explains how the process of editing the configuration works.
