MAPI with VM Pro 8.1, Outlook 2013 and Windows 8

I'm trying to get MAPI to work with Voicemail Pro 8.1, Outlook 2013 and Windows 8.

I finally got to the point where I can select the Outlook profile (I had to install Outlook to C:\Program Files\ instead of C:\Program Files (x86).) Now the e-mail messages will be put in the Outbox but only will be sent when I open Outlook 2013. I can only open Outlook 2013 when the Voicemail Pro service is stopped since the service opens the PST file when it's started.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I've tried other MAPI clients but it seems that only Outlook will work since Voicemail Pro seems to be looking for Outlook profiles. I've re-installed Outlook a few times and that didn't help. I've also done fixmapi.exe after renaming mapi32.dll and that didn't help either.

    Hi,

MAPI requires a MAPI compliant e-mail client program to be installed on the Voicemail Pro server. Supported MAPI clients are:

    Outlook 2000, 2002, 2003, 2007.
It also requires the Voicemail Pro service to be run using a user
account that is able to send e-mails via that MAPI client
For more Information Please go through this document.(page no: 55) http://www.ipofficeinfo.com/pdf/vmpr...l_standard.pdf

    Thanks ,

I've called Avaya about this previously and I was told that MAPI is an API and unless Microsoft breaks it in some new release of Windows it will just continue to work regardless of what version of Outlook is being used. I know I've seen it working in Outlook 2010 and I have customers using Windows 7 with Outlook 2013, I was just wondering if anyone has used this with Windows 8 and Outlook 2013?
