    Help Configuring a Partner R7 (700316474)

    Hello Avaya Support,

    I am fairly new to the Avaya telephone solutions, but I am volunteering at a non profit and had to recently move their telephone system to a different facility... everything went extremely smoothly.. but I have a question.

    The telephone switch is a 700316474 which it an R7. I have all 9 extensions setup throughout the building with what I believe is called the partner D6 desktop phones. They are 6 buttons models with a little graphical display.

    Anyways... here is the issue I am having. I am on extension 10 like all the manuals states, but I cannot program the date/time or any of the system wide settings for that matter. I hit <function> 0 0 - it says Extension 10, I hit the left intercom button... the next step to get to system configuration based on the settings is to hit the left intercom again.. doing this does nothing... the phone just makes a loud beep. IT seems like I can do anything system wide from that extension with the D6 phone period.

    Is there another phone I need to configure system wide settings? If there a web interface or software I could use? Any direction on this would be great.

    You need an 18 or 34 button set to be able to program from Ext. 10 or 11. The 6-button will not work.
