    Question about feature similar to MDA on IPO

    Dear experts,

    I'm new to IPO and right now, I have been asked by customer, whether IPO can provide the feature that supporting single number on multiple phones for incoming and outgoing calls (including deskphone and 1X-mobile essential and preferred). For example: my deskphone is 2000, my 1X-mobile preferred is also 2000. When there is an incoming call, it rings both, or I can set the ringing order, on deskphone first, and then ring on the soft client. When there is an outgoing call from either my deskphone or my soft client, it only shows the ext. 2000 only.

    I have read that IPO with appropriate user licenses can support twinning, but it seems twinning is between multiple numbers.

    Could anyone help to give me some ideas? Tons of thanks.

    Hello,

    if you would like to build a one number service you will need to use the twinning option. You need to configure within the mobility tab the necessary settings for the twinned user.

    Standard Twinning (Basic User)
    With Standard twinning you can use any type of mobile phone (you will not need a smartphone) for the single number reach. If your deskphone rings your mobilephone will ring simultaneously. If you select mobile control check box you can use even mid call features via DTMF codes, like ** to get a dial tone and to transfer the call within the IP Office.

    With the standard twinning you will be abel to use the call back feature which allows the IP Office to call your mobile. Then you can pass calls from the mobile via the IP Office and it will show as CLID your office number.

    Prefferred Edition
    If you would liek to use extended features you will need to go for 1x mobile for preferred edition. Here you can use a VoIP mode via 3G. You will always need a data connection to the IP Office to handle presence and other features. This feature will need as well a licenses on the IP Office.

    More Information you can find in the knowledge base;

      A good idea how it works you will get as well if you select a field within the mobility tab in IP Office Manager and you type F1 to get the help. It will give you as well a good idea for the basic twinning.
