IPO 8.1 Remote SIP extension setup

Hello Guru's!
Can someone share there knowledge on setting up a 96XX series phone to work at home?
They currently have IPO 500V2 8.1. Do they need to go to 9.0?

Do you have a VPN enabled firewall where the PBX is? You'll want something like that, and then you will need to build a VPN on the 96XX phone connecting back to that firewall so it can get into the PBX, it's easy if you're very familiar with setting up VPN tunnels, otherwise it can be a complete nightmare.
