How do I record a Name

We have IP office software 10 and I think the Software version of the IP office is version 8.0.

I have noticed that to search by name the user must have put their name into the system. EG If the user is Joe Blow, they need to actually speak into the VM system with their name "Joe Blow".

Thats fine. But I have noticed that new users have not been doing this. And additionally saysome want to correct their name if they made a mistake. I cannot see how to change their name. We use Avaya Digital and IP phones 9800 series.

I have seen many helps on the interent that you login to VM and press *05 this does not work. And I noticed that there is a short code for 9x*05 already set called Forward Unconditional Off.

How can I access the user name that is announced when people are searching for names?

You haven't said what type of voicemail server it is and whether its running in IP Office or Intuity mode.

At a guess its Voicemail Pro and using Intuity mode, in which case login and press 5 and then press 5 again.

I am using VM Pro 8.1.2004.0. However I don't know what Intuity is ?? But when I looked at the preferences in the VM Pro it seems to say Default Telephone Interface Intuity.

I can say that when I'm at my phone logged in as default user and press 5 and then 5 again I just Get the high / low tone, like its not a programmed button.

I try to log onto my VM and then press 5 and then 5 I get no response.
Still looking for an answer.

Ok I have figured it out.

5 5 does not work if you just start with that. This does work.
