    Passwords

I have an IPOffice running 8.1(91) that has 160 phones (9508) and VM Pro, and suddenly people are having trouble with VM passwords.. they set them up, and in 24 hours they are gone... and have to set them up again? I have done this from the phone too. and when I do it and go look at the Manager screen, the password is not populated?

    anybody?

How many computers there have the Manager software on them? I've seen places where someone keeps a copy open with the same config, and it never gets closed. Then people do things like change their voicemail passwords, enable DND, forwarding, then that one person with the config open changes one thing and merges the config, then everything is back exactly how it was when the config was last saved. Sounds like that might be happening here.

Have you installed a service pack?
Sometimes security features will be switched on in service packs.

No. As per the first answer this is the classic somebody keeping the configuration they download from the system open in IP Office Manager and then sending it back, overwriting any users made changes that occurred in the interim.

IP Office Manager is not a live editor. It takes a snap-shot of the full configuration which you then edit.

This is a pretty common problem on new sites where the installer is frantically trying to make changes whilst simultaneously all the new users are playing with their new phones/mailboxes/etc.
