IP Office 8.1.79 Embedded VM Cutting Off

Okay, so we are having issues with one of our Avaya IP Office 500v2 (last I checked, running 8.1.79) systems where voicemails are cutting off various parts of the message. In attempting to diagnose, I have, without fail, experienced the following two scenarios:

1. The first two seconds of the message is cut off, but the rest of the message is there.

2. The first second is there, but the subsequent 2 seconds are cut off before the rest of the message is recorded.


It does not matter which VM type the VM box is set to, as it will still yield one of the above two results on this particular IP Office 500v2.



I am looking for ideas to try that will get us fully functional in the short term that will buy me enough time to build a case in favor of moving our voicemail to VMPro.

8.1(79) was service pack 7, there were service packs all the way up to 11. None of the tech bulletins from 8 through 11 mention that issue on EVM, but you could certainly take it all the way up to 8.1(95) and see if the issue resolves.

Contacting our vendor to have them send these updates our way. It's worth a shot at this point.

Also, it's the embedded Intuity voice mail system we're specifically experiencing this on.

You would only need to load the last release, it will incorporate all of the previous fixes.

I only use Intuity mode, seem to recall a doctor with an issue forwarding messages from one mailbox to another, fix was to pop out the SD card and recreate.

Installed the 8.1 (95) update. Issue not resolved, unfortunately.

Any Update

I am having basically the same issue, but only when the users forward the messages to each other. The message starts to play and then it gets cut off with a click, click sound then starts again then just cuts off. We are running the latest version of 9.1 which didn't fix the issue. I just tried switching to Intuity mode. Do you have an update on your situation. If it's been resolved can you please let me know the fix?
