    Problem with extension voicemail.

So we have an automated call attendant system set up and you can connect to one of our 3 extensions via it, which works fine. My issue is that while 2 of our voicemails work, the other does not. When the call is forwarded to it, it rings 3-4 times and then kicks the call back to the main phone instead of proceeding to the voicemail. I checked and made sure that the VM is set up and that call forwarding is not enabled on it. Has anyone else encountered this issue?

You have to explain a bit more, this may be correct operation. When a call goes to voicemail it is normally to the mailbox of the first user or group to which it was routed. If the call was subsequently automatically forwarded to another user, it still goes to the mailbox of the original target if not answered, not that of the user to which it was forwarded.

Ok, that makes sense if that is supposed to be it's function. But it still doesnt allow the caller to leave a voicemail at the main phone once it bounces back though, it just continually rings.

Can you tell us WHICH phone/voicemail system you are using? You may not have voicemail coverage enabled for the extension, and the transfer return setting pointing to the main phone.

The transfer return setting is for transfers from the auto attendant to extensions without mailboxes, and what you have described is exactly how that functions.
