Ip Office v9.0 / v9.1 Resiliency for Avaya communicator and Video Soft Phone

I have 2 very similar resiliency questions which are listed below.

a)Does IPO Server edition version 9.0 (primary and secondary) support the resilience for the Ip Office video softphone application when primary server is down?

b)Does IPO Server edition version 9.1 (primary and secondary) support the resilience for the Ip Office Avaya Communicator application when primary server is down?

Sadfully no and no... Resiliency is only supported for Avaya H.323 extensions.

In 9.1 you can use IPO Select Edition to get resiliency for SIP devices.
Resiliency will be done by VMWare HA mechanism.

But this means you have to purchase Select Edition Licenses and must have a VMWare environment that support HA

But that will not help during upgrading or if the server is not available due to a software failure.
