    Combo card analog ports

I have an IP Office 500 V2 version 9.0 with a Combo/ATM card. When I plug my **** set into the analog ports I only get clicks. Thoughts? Thanks in advance for the help.

Sounds like there are no users set up for the analog ports.

ports 9,10,11,12 are of FXO , you will not ring tone there . Plug analog trunk there .
Port 1 and 2 will be for Fax/phones . You will get dial tone if hardware is fine .

Ports 1-6 are DS ports and ports 7 and 8 are analogue endpoint ports.

Forgive me I am still new at the Avaya system. Should I not be able to plug into port 7 or 8 and get dial tone? I have created a user x115 for conference room.

Yes, ports 7 and 8 are both analog ports. You're just hearing a clicking noise or is it a beep, if you press a button on the test set do you hear dial tone? Do any other ports on the combo card work (the digital ports, or the analog trunk ports)?

It is just clicking. Pressing buttons does nothing. I plugged a 9508 directly into port 1 and 2 with nothing. The lights are blinking on ports 1 and 9 once every five seconds.

Did you checked with System Status?
                What are the errors shown?
Does it show the Combo Card?
What do you see when you click on port 7 of the Combo Card?

Only errors are music on hold source and time server.
It does show the combo card and port 7 is extension 215 and 8 is 216

Did you set up the correct location settings for IPO and/or the users? Can you dial from these analogue extensions? Can you call them?

Yes everything is set to US. If you call them its busy. You can not call out as it is just clicking on the port.

If you can't get a 9508 to come up either on ports 1 and 2 then it sounds like your card is dead, replace the combo card.
