TDM DECT Basestation
I am a little bit confused with the documentation of the DECT TDM base-stations (connected to the DECT gateway).
I need to know for an existing customer were I would like to replace a NORTEL DECT by an IP Office DECT over traditional cabling if 2 copper pairs is enough or that I need 3 copper pairs.
The datasheet of the TDM base says;
Powering Method: Local or central via 2 data pairs (UTP) plus 1 optional pair.
I interpret this like,
I will need 2 data pairs which can power the base-station and depending of the distance between the gateway and the base-station I will need to add the optional pair.
Does someone know?
