    SMDR outbound for external incoming calls

    Hi,

    I'm having trouble making sense of some entries present in the SMDR log file for a IP500 V2 system...
    I've checked the documentation for the log fields but I'm still missing something and I hope someone here can shed some light on it...
    In the log file I have multiple entries reporting outbonding external call having an external (public) caller number....
    Like this:
    2015/06/01 08:21:39,00:00:00,35,2558nnnnn,O,468,68,,0,1130279,0,E460,OperadoraRute,T9011,Line 11.1,0,0,,,,,,,,,,,,,

    (the caller number is 9 digits long and I've replaced the last 5 for privacy issues)

    Shouldn't it be Incoming call, marked I instead of O?

    Did you check if these calls are being twinned/forwarded?

      I'm using Avaya IP office R8 Manager and checked for:
      User -> OperadoraRute(460) -> Forwarding
      - All empty
      User -> 468 -> Forwarding
      - Forward On busy : checked
      - Forward On no answer : checked
      - Forward number : 460
      - Forward internal calls : unchecked

      System -> Twinning:
      - All empty

      Seems the call was forwarded from 468 to 460, but it should still be an incoming call right?

        No because it's an outgoing call to that extension, it would only be an incoming call on the target extension 260, but outgoing from 268.

          I see...
          It's a bit tricky though, what's the standard procedure when you need to flag calls coming in from outside?
          I'm thinking about using caller's number string length but I'm not too comfortable with it though (seems too hacky)...

          BTW: thanks for sharing zakabog
