Call Recording in IPO 500

Hi everybody,
I've IPO 500 V2 R9 system, simply I want to record the calls
what I need ?
How to do it ?
please guide me .

You need Voicemail Pro running on either a Windows server or on an IP Office Application Server.

You'll need a Preferred Edition licence for your system (that enables support for Voicemail Pro and 4 simultaneous connections) plus additional voicemail port licenses for up to the number of simultaneous connections that you want (max 40).

Best method always use port spanning ( wire tapping ) on switch , and use special software for recording . Less expensive , no disturbance to on-going calls , no administration required .

For incidental call recording use VM Pro with Xima Chronicall as a front end reporting tool. It will never interrupt calls as claud4 suggests that it will. For four to eight channels defenitely the cheapest solution.
For heavy duty recording use trunk recorders, Xima has a SIP recording machine but there are plenty of those and each vendor claims to have the best solution on earth.
For us the Xima cigarette box sized device does the job very well.

Before the options get more confusing, what the other folks are saying is that you need to decide:

- What calls you want recorded. eg. Manually triggered recording of occasional calls or automatic recording of all calls, something in between or a mix?

- What do you want to do with recordings, put them in normal mailboxes or have them in a separate searchable archive?

- Is the recording need part of some regulatory requirement?

- How big is the IP Office system in terms of number of users and number of lines?

The answers will determine the type of solution that fits best.

Hi Guys,

Sorry for jumping onto this post.

I have installed application server 9.1 onto a HP Proliant DL380 with 2 X 145Gbit 1 mirroring the other and a 500Gbit additional HDD but when I go to initiate the server the additional HDD dosent show only the sda HDD which is the main drive. The sdb drive dosent show but on the graphical interface "Startx" and login I can see the additional HDD sdb there and working.

Would anyone have any suggestions/
