Try it and see, you'll learn much more that way. Also press F1 in Manager for help.

"Four system short codes (*81XX, *82XX, *83XX and *84XX) are automatically added for use with all auto attendants, for the morning, afternoon, evening and menu options greetings respectively."

      Hi markgallagher,

Just check with you again, for another customer want to change the DAY time greeting, whether is from their Extn to call *8101 (program at DAY time), press 2 for Greeting record,

Whether this will save to DAY time greeting?

      Appreciate for your help.

      Thanks

Take half a minute and look at the actual automated attendant.

You will see 3 time profiles, each followed by a short code for recording, and a menu options, also followed by a short code for recording.

Are you using a Time Profile to control the greeting that plays? No? Then only record the menu options greeting and call it a day.

If you need different recordings for Day, and Night, it is really better to create separate automated attendants, and simply direct the calls to the correct AA than use the prelude recording, which the help file will tell you all about

          Hi thiel2,

          Thanks for your help,
Yes, customer have Day & Night auto attendant,
she just want change Day greeting, all like transfer call are no change.

I saw in the IPO (auto attendant), this Day greeting short code is *8101, so I just dial *8101 follow the message (press 2) to change the greeting? after then save it.

          Whether above are correct?

          Thanks

Why do you keep asking these obvious question? Is it not working?

Dial *8101, and press 1 to [B]PLAY[B] it. Have the customer listen to what's there. Is that the message that needs to be changed? If yes, press 2 and change it. If no, hang up and dial *8201. If that's not it, dial *8301. If that's not it, dial *8401

If there's more than one auto attendant, the code is going to be *8, then the recording number from 1 to 4, and then the auto attendant number from 01 through whatever.

8x01 is for the "Goodmorning" announcement
8x02 is for the "Goodday" announcement
8x03 is for the "Good evening" announcement
8x04 is for the menu options available "Dial 1 for option 1, dial 2 for ..... etc"
The first three are optional but the 4th is mandatory.

You must have at least 2 Autoattendants, one for the day operation and one for night operation.
Check incoming Call Route to see if the targeting is done with time tables and which AA is for day or night.

Thanks, I understand the setup now.

The customer just use the *8101 , press 2 for recording, after press 3 for save.

                  This solved the issues.

                  Thanks
