System Speed Dial

I need to know the best way to use System Speed Dial on IP Office 9.1. I have entered a few numbers in the System Directory and created a Short Code *73N#, Feature Speed Dial, Telephone Number N, and assigned to the outside line Line Group ID 10. The user can press *73100# and it will dial the number in Directory entry 100. But I just want a button to press then enter 100. If I try to assign Button Programing, I can assign Action > Advanced > Dial > Speed Dial but it does not do anything. The documentation is not real clear but maybe I cannot use this on 1616 sets. Just would like a good method to use the System Directory so the user is not punching in almost more numbers than just dialing the actual number itself.

The Speed Dial button is only supported on M and T-Series phones as per the documentation.

Change your short code to *73XXX and on the phone add a Abbreviate Dial button set to dial *73.
