    New Install Database Collection Form

Does anyone know if Avaya has an IP Office new deployment database collection form that can be populated with users, hunt groups, lines, etc...? I have been searching high and low and have found nothing. It would be really awesome if there was a form that once filled out could generate a .cfg file to send to the IP Office... but I think that might just be wishful thinking.

    (Not my site)

This Excel workbook is a few years old, I've updated it a lot for my own use. It won't create a configuration, but look into the workbook for hidden tabs. If you know how to export the configuration as a csv file, you can use the hidden pages to modify the export and re-import.

If you have installed IP Office Manager on a PC, look in the install directory (usually c:\Program Files (x86)\Avaya\IP Office\Manager) for the file 'IP Office User CSV Configurator.xlsm".

Don't ignore Manager itself. The offline configuration options allow you to create a config that matches the hardware that will be in the customer system and then add and configure user, groups, etc all using a config file on your PC which can then be sent to the real system on install day.

        Thank you

Thank you for the tip... I guess what i'm looking for is something more customer friendly that they can fill out with their specific details and submit to us.

Using manager, Use the export feature and save the file into Excel
Delete the current data but keep the column headings
Send that to your customer as a template.
They can return the temple to you and you can import it OR
Create a user account (in security of course) and limit the customer

The customer friendly version is the one where you talk to them and take notes. Find out how they work/want to work. Asking them to go beyond keying a list of user names and external directory numbers is you trying to make them do your job - which leads to a bad install as they aren't knowledgeable about PBXs and you made no effort to learn about how they use their telephones.
