IPO 500 v2 Sip trunk Config. single sip uri, header settings

Im trying to get a new sip trunk to work using 1 SIP uri for incoming and outgoing calls but I've not been able to get the headers right. my provider requires the from header on outgoing calls to be "number" [email protected]. If i use * * * in the sip uri i can use incoming routes for incoming calls ok, but then outgoing doesn't work. How can i get outgoing calls to work using the same sip uri, can i use a short code on a user to over write the details in the from header to meet my providers requirements?

I want to keep the Sip URI with * * * wildcards as it works with incoming routes but then I need a shortcode to set the from header on the call to "Number" [email protected]. I think that should do it.

im getting a headache trying to understand how the SIP URI & the from and to headers all relates with the user SIP tab and the line settings? Anyone able to simplify how it works for me?

    Thanks

    JK

    Hello,

create a second URI in the SIP line and when give it a different outgoing group, after this you can handle the incoming and outgoing calls differently. I think that is the easiest way to archive a solution.
