    Password protect phone

Hello, I am by far no expert with IP Office, I was kinda tossed into trying to figure it all out on my own.....that being said, I work in an office of about 50 people and we need one phone in a room with some individuals that are known to use the phone to make prank calls, call 911 Etc., is there any way to password protect this single phone or a pin number to use it, I tried logging out but the phone can still dial out.

Avaya IP Office R6.1 all using the Avaya 1416 phones
    Thank you

Create a short code in the user section.

9N (or whatever you dial out for calls 8 or 9)
    Dial
    N
line group 50 (or whatever the System 9N short code uses)
tick the box for "Force account code"

Then go to the "Account Code" section.
    Create new account code

    Save all the changes.

Now, when that phone dials out, "9N", thus triggering the user account code, it will give a beep, asking for the Account Code password. Then you enter the number you created in teh account code section followed by the pound sign....

Won't work, they will still be able to dial 911 as Dial Emergency short codes override all that. You could add a user short code to also block dialing 911 (set it to the Barred short code feature) but you would need to clearly label the phone as not being able to make emergency calls and check with your legal reps that that would be okay.
