    two extensions on one phone

Looking into doing two extensions on one phone. I have to keep the lines separate as they will be for two different companies we have and the person needs to know which company they are getting the call for and has to go out as that same company name. This will be IP office 9.1 on a 9608 phone

My original though was simple bridged appearance on the existing line, but it doesn't ring when dialed or let me use the extension to dial out.

I have been read on most items and just not seeing what I am missing. Any suggestions would be helpful.

Have Company-A's numbers point to a Hunt Group named Company-A.
Have Company-B's numbers point to a Hunt Group named Company-B

Put the extension that will be answering in both groups.

When a call comes in, the display indicates which company's number is ringing.

Program Company A's lines into their own outgoing line group (if Analog lines)
Program Company B's lines into a different outgoing line group (if Analog lines)
Create an ARS table that uses Company A's line group (if Analog lines) or sends Company A's outgoing Caller ID (if PRI)
Create an ARS table that uses Company B's line group (if Analog lines) or sends Company B's outgoing Caller ID (if PRI)

Create a short code 9N/Dial/N/Company A's ARS table
Create a short code 8N/dial/N/Company B's ARS table

Dial 9 and the outgoing telephone number to call out as Company A
Dial 8 and the outgoing telephone number to call out as Company B

For the incoming part you can also use the 'Tag' field in ICR. Write in what you want displayed, i.e. A.C.M.E. or Corp., whatever you named it. Point the number to the phone or extension as you would do it normally.

This info is displayed on the phone. During ringing, call and even when transferred to another extension. That way even this person knows what 'main number' was called.
