    Busy on busy

    Hi there,

Customer is using IP Office 9.1 500v2 as essential edition with embedded voicemail.
Now he want calles to get an busy tone if the phone is busy....

Unanswered calls should still receive the voicemail.

Is it only be possible to forward calls to a feature code that is directed to busy or any more gentle programming ?

    kind regards,

    Rainer

This could get to be a ton of programming, as WELL AS customer training...

you could turn voicemail coverage off (untick the VM box)
create a system short code; #XXXX/#N/voicemail collect/0 (where XXXX is your extension length)
then set up call forward no answer, to the voicemail short code of the user.

That is pretty straight forward. now, what do you expect the users to do? what happens when they in DND?
What actions should make the station busy? 1 call, 2 calls?

      hmm...

this is the other way around than what i thought.... but also working fine ;O)

I guess there is really a chance to get a lot of issues since all users are using it in different ways... but at least I can provide a solution.... I will let the customer decide if this feature is worth it ;O)

      thx,

      Rainer
