This is more of a best practice question. I have an install with this scenario:
Primary server: LAN1 is connected to the network and LAN2 is a SIP trunk
Secondary server: LAN1 is connected to the network and LAN2 is a SIP trunk
Secondary is going to be used for overflow and failover - is this possible?
I have 7 other 500v2 expansions systems - is it better to have the SIP trunks located there?
----------
I have a similar current setup and it has been one problem after another, and do not know if it is a design issue or not. The one big problem I have with the other one is when the SIP call is made to go into a conference bridge, the DTMF tones are not received correctly.
Any insight on what the best practice is would be appreciated.
