Partner ACS - cannot restore backup after processor card replacement

    Gentlemen!

I am working on a Partner ACS system where the processor card failed. The original card (103G4, R1.1 C01) was replaced by a newer card (103G7, R3.0.5 C01) from another system that was removed from service. I have a backup/restore PCMCIA card with a very recent backup from the failed processor. When I attempt to restore this backup on the "newer": processor, I get an "Incompatible Versions" error. Of course, all the original settings worksheets are nowhere to be found. Is there a solution to this problem? The system configuration is a 103 Processor, two 308EC expansion cards and a Voice Messaging module with a Partner Messaging 4 Port PCMCIA card.

Is there a solution other than (gulp!) reprogramming the entire system?

    Thank you for your assistance!!

No, you can't restore a system from a different release backup. (Except for the R7 and R8, will restore from an R6)

Reprogramming from scratch is your only option, but really, if it takes you more than 20 minutes, you're doing something wrong. Step through the parameters with the Next Procedure button, then set up Ext. 10 with the common parameters, and use Copy to copy 10 to 11, 12, 13, etc., go back and program up the buttons (which you can do through Centralized Telephone Programming)
