IP Office upgrade/ Migration to R10

    This is a multilayer question.
We have a customer with IPO 500v2 R9.0 with Embedded Voicemail and IP endpoints. Licenses are ADI type.
They are moving into a new office. We are providing them an IPO 500v2 R10 with Voicemail Pro.
My question is, how can I transfer their existing IP endpoint licenses to new R10. Do I need to upgrade their R9 IPO first to R10, before transferring the licenses?
Do I need to have both IP Offices under the same Soldto number in order to transfer licenses?

Thanks for your comments and help in advance.

You will need to pull a license.xml file from teh current IPO with R10 manager.
that gets uploaded to Avaya 1 Source so you can get the quote to upgrade. If IPOSS, you will be prompted to enter the Contract number for the free upgrade.

You will get new PLDS licenses for R10

    Here is a good document.

Forgot we can upload files here to. Sharefile will only last 60 days i think, so here is the file as well.

Keep in mind distribution can help you as well.

you can collect .xml file from Ip office manager itself.

1.Go to Tools-->license migration --> collect the xml file you can share this file with Avaya to get the upgrade license

Once you have the license 10 license download version 10 from avaya portal and upgrade your system through the normal upgrade process.

First you need R10 manager to access .xml file .

Is there any procedure to migrate/upgrade since IPO v4 to v10? My goal is conserving my licenses.
