New Call Park Configuration and Troubleshooting

Working on the configuration and testing of basic call parking. I am unable to pick up a call that has been parked to an extension's park number range via the Feature/Call Park method. I have read online the call should be parked to the extension number plus 1 digit. For example extension 183x (x= 0-9).

When I attempt to pick up the call at 2nd deskphone, I am using the Feature/Pickup method. The screen prompts for the digits, I enter the extension number +0 and it will not pick up the call. The screen will show extension, then will disappear when the forth digit is entered.

Both phone are 9608's on IPO 9.1.7

    Thanks.

To retrieve the call, you want to use the feature "UnPark Call"

I personally use *72 (*PC) for Park Call, and *78 (*PU) for Pick Up

    In your scenario, *72XXXX / Call Park / N and *78XXXX / UnPark Call / N

What is the size of your organization, and how often does a call get parked to be picked up elsewhere? I just normally put 3 Call Appearances on the phone, followed by buttons Park 1, Park 2, and Park 3. When a call is parked, it lights up everywhere on that Park button, and to retrieve the call you just press the blinking Park button and then the soft key for Connect. At that point the Park button is no longer blinking or in use, and anyone else can park a call there. This allows Operators to Park a call and page "Mr. Smith, you have a call waiting on Park 1"

Even a user with a single line phone can then dial *781 and UnPark the call on Park 1.
