    IP Office Help

We are converting our fax machines to a cloud based service. In order to do so we have to port our DID to the cloud service. After doing so and attempting to fax from inside our network, the faxes are still going to our fax machine. Any faxes coming from outside the network are going to the cloud service. We have looked in Avaya IP Office management and cannot find the reason the call/fax is staying in the network. We tried deleting the extension and user associated with this fax machine but that only gives us a failed call message when we try ringing the DID. We have to dial a 9 to make outside calls, even dialing 9 plus the 10 digit DID causes the fax to be sent to fax machine. Anyone have any ideas on this issue?

Your telco, the owner of the DID numbers, allowed you to port some of them away to the cloud fax service, but they didn't remove them from their own central office switch. So when anyone whose service originates on that same central office switch calls the ported number, instead of going to the new carrier, it still routes to your service.

Problem is resolved. Telephone company takes a little longer to port your DID at your local switch. Not sure why its not all done at the same time. Thanks for your help.
