We have deployed approx.1800 9641Gs running FW 6.2023, the other day it was noticed that Jitter is present between a MedPro and a 9641G on the same LAN?
So my colleagues and I created two Direct IP Audio Test Calls between:
All IP phones were connected to the same Access Switch a Cisco WS-C3750-48P and all set to Auto Negotiate which negated 100Mb Full Duplex with the switch.
These initial results seem to imply that the 9641G running the latest Firmware has a Jitter overhead when compared to the 9630 IP Phones, we have raised a ticket with Avaya to investigate further.
Out of interest has anyone else observed this Jitter on their 9641G deployments either CM or IPO?

- Two 9641Gs.
- Two 9630's
All IP phones were connected to the same Access Switch a Cisco WS-C3750-48P and all set to Auto Negotiate which negated 100Mb Full Duplex with the switch.
- The call between the two 9641G Phones had consistent 1-2ms Jitter present with a worst case of 2.7 ms.
- The call between the two 9630 Phones had nominal Jitter with the worst case being 0.6 ms.
