Nortel T7406e Cordless phone linked to digital set???

I have a Nortel T7406e phone that seems to be linked to a digital set/ DN. How do I un associate this phone to the digital set/ DN? I cannot seem to change the feature button assignments / button programing for the set to remote like the internal dial speed button to the DN it seems to be assigned to. Any idea's as to what I need to do? I have access to the BEM and can make any changes we need. Please help...Thanks in advance.

Looks like the solution was that the cordless phone was setup as an Answer DN for the digital set. All I needed to do was got to: Element manager -> Telephony -> Sets -> active sets -> select the cordless set extension -> Answer DN tab -> remove the digital extension from the list.
Once this was done everything was working as expected. Thanks to Mike for the answer from the Spiceworks community.
