We have just brought 1500 new Avaya 1220 phones and need to find a way to get them onto the network via DHCP.
I have a 2004 and an older 1220 phone that uses DHCP option 128 with no problems. The string used with that option was...
Nortel-i2004-A,10.xx.xx.xx:4100,1,5.
Now we have a box of 1220 that I think are on a new release and may need to use the Nortel-i2004-B class (not sure if thats the right term)
I have found some information from different websites and I have replaced the above string with the following.
Nortel-i2004-B;s1ip=10.xx.xx.xx;p1=4100;a1=1;r1=255;s2ip=10.xx. xx.xx;p2=4100;a2=1;r2=2;xip=0.0.0.0;xp=5000;xa=g;u nid=Main-tower;menulock=u;vq=n;vcp=3;vmp=4;vlanf=n;pc=n;pcs =a;pcd=a;dq=n;dv=n;dvip=60;dp=5;pcuntag=y;lldp=n;c achedip=y;igarp=n;srtp=n;dim=y;bt=y;
When I boot up the phone it just cycles through "starting bootc" and "Starting DHCP". Any idea what I need to do to get this working?
