1608 damaged flash? Flashing LEDS

Hi All,

We've got a number of 1608 handsets (read approx 30) That our current support company say they can't fix.

The phones themselves work fine, logon make calls etc without issues. However the issue is that random LED's on the phones display flash and light up at random.

This is distracting to the users and makes it tricky for them to notice they've got calls on differnet lines etc.

My logic says it's just a bad firmware and some kind of reset or re-flash should cure it, but they say not. I have of course tried a full phone reset off the menus but the problems persist.

Other 1608 phones are fine, we've just got a batch that do this and i don't really want to throw them away if i can help it, even if i have to pay to repair them i'd rather save them.

Spoke to them and although they'd never heard or seen the problems they agreed to have the phones from me under no fix no fee. Phone call a few days after collection and they'd given them a good test and been able to reproduce the problem and replaced a number of parts.

The result is I've now got 30 phones back that we're about to be scrapped, all fixed at a cost I'm happy with.
