    Problem description

    16xx H.323 phone models upgraded to 1.3 Maintenance Release 4 (1.3.4B), launched August 27th, 2013, could experience a rolling reboot condition during an upgrade to and/or after some period of operation after a successful upgrade. OBSERVED BEHAVIOR: In some cases, the 16xx IP Deskphones will begin the boot cycle, stay in that cycle for up to 10 seconds (typically 3-4), and then reboot, repeating the cycle indefinitely. EXPECTED BEHAVIOR: Full boot up to login prompted or full login as previously logged in station.

    Upgrade to the Avaya 1600 Series IP Deskphone Software Release 1.3 Maintenance Release 4 (1.3.4D) launched on March 11th, 2014 and available on the Avaya Support Website (http://support.avaya.com)
    If you downloaded and/or upgraded to the 1.3.4B GA version, available on Avaya Support from August 27th, 2013 through February 17th, 2014 please discard all copies and upgrade to the Avaya 1600 Series IP Deskphone Software Release 1.3 Maintenance Release 4 1.3.4D version, launched on March 11th, 2014.

    You did not mention the 1692 - Polycom IP Conference Station among these. Any remote chance they would be affected as well? I have five of these ready to go out for replacement because all that happens is the three red lights on the top flash. These are in nearly-new condition because they're in rarely-used conference rooms, and I just don't buy pure coincidence that they all failed in the exact same manner in the same timeframe...

    But now I see that the date referenced in your post was March 11, 2014, and these were brought to my attention during the last week or two of February.

    Just curious, though, and thought I'd toss it out, in case you might know. Thanks.

      Where can I find the list of software upgrades of the IP deskphones 1600 series models that is able to upgrade and work with an IP Office 500v0 R6?

        How to upgrade the new firmware when the phone constantly reboot?

        The phone with the issue will reboot constantly. It will not go to the file server for downloading the new firmware. What should I do in this case?

          1608-I keep rebooting

          Hi,

          I have same issue.
          I have IP Office 500 v2 , Version 9.0.2.0 Build 860

          I have over 100 IP Telephone from different models.

          I have problem with more that 10 units from Model 1608 -I. it's keep fail one by one on separate periods.

          It's keep restarting without even reach boot menu or file server.

          Please help me.
