External phone ringer for Avaya 1408 phone

What kind of External phone ringer do I need for a Avaya 1408 phone? We are having trouble hearing it ring at in our building.

Some have used a PA-2A from vikingelectronics.com, taken the phone apart and connect the speaker leads from the phone to the input of the amplifier.....

What phone system are you using? Do you have an analog station port? Use a loud ringer that program the analog station port and the digital 1408 phone to ring together. (internal twinning on an IP Office)

The Viking is a nice bit of kit if you want the ring heard in a large noisy warehouse but possible overkill. A simple Google search for "loud ring digital phone" will yield a whole range of options and most with an easier install path.

With the IP Office, I would connect a regular analog bell (electronic or mechanical) to an analog station port, and then on the Mobility tab of the digital phone, Twin the bell extension to it. They will ring simultaneously.
