How do I open the handset for a 8410D? There are no screws to open and I have tried to pry the two pieces apart and I am afraid of breaking it. I have several that need cleaning.

I know of what you speak. Sorry ladies . . . but I have gotten phones back that were so encrusted with makeup that I have to use special clieaning agents make them presentable.
I believe that these are no longer sold by AVAYA. So that may be an issue with your business partner (BP). If so, you will have to find a PB who has a refurb service.
That siad, I would not recommend opening a handset. It will probably be appearant to your BP. If you have station maintenance with your BP, which I recommend, I would just send the really bad ones back. You can also contact Black Box. They can trade yours for refurbs at a fairly reasonable cost.Thank you,
