how can a 9611 phone be used in a callcenter, without the handset plugged in.. as the agents just use headset ? If I remove the handset the phone gets off-hook. I don't want to "clue/ducktape" the cradle. Any faceplates for 9611 ? I know there is a version of faceplate for 9641 but it doesn't help for this model.
96xx phones, faceplate without handset

Why Not Think of the Handpiece as a Backup?
We are using 9611G and 9608 desksets. And we have a mix of those with and without headsets. I do not worry about the handpiece. Is this an aesthetic concern? Sorry but I do not see an issue here.Thank you,

it would be used for a callcenter who are used to terminals without headset. As we now are changing 100 phones, together with a handset they feel are just "annoying" and they want to remove it. However it was not so easymy personal opinion I wouldn't care, but for this customer it was important.

It sounds as though your customer is moving up to an avaya platform from another manufacturer. It that the case? If that is true, you can fall back on that's the wasy Avaya does it. Would it help for you to say that Avaya owns the call center market and they know what they are doing?
No? Perhaps you can say it's intended to provide for a multi-use desk set so you can get by with fewer inventoiry items. Or better still . . . hmmmm . . . how about it's time for someone from Avaya to weigh in?Thank you,
