    Digital Test Sets

    Hello,

I am looking for some digital buttsets for testing digital lines. My guys currently use analog test sets and just listen for clicking, which is unacceptable.
Just wondering what other people are using for test equipment as I am having a hard time finding digital test sets. Thanks

I'm not sure that there is anything other than using Avaya digital phones for this purpose. But it you do find something, I would love to hear abouit it.

This may be the one you are looking for (if you can afford it)
Manufacturers of electronic eavesdropping detection equipment for corporate, commercial & government technical surveillance countermeasure (TSCM) operations

All just for approx> $22.000,00. But then you have something....

Very Nice. But Not What We Seek

I certainly appreciate that you took the time to pass this on. However, we have IP phone diagnostics pretty well covered. I would really like something to test digital lines at the work area outlet (WAO).

Got to be a 1608 or the like , I cant really see of a more cost effective way , I remember when I had to programme systems via keysets and having to carry a 21button round for every system we maintained, cumbersome but worked like a charm.

That's what I do as well R. I also hung a digital 6408 on the wall field. I terminated one end of a length of X-wire into a RJ-11 for the phone. And the other end is terminated in a Panduit P110PC1-XY to easily connect it to a port on one of the 110 blocks. That has come in handy for testing for bad ports.
              Thank you,

The $ 22.000,00 apparatus CAN test digital Up0 lines like the DigitalStation ports on IP Office.
It is not just another VoIP measuring tool but it has that onboard too.

I use a 5410 as test phone becaus there will be no new firmware in the future, with a 1408 there is a major change it will upgrade / downgrade software while you only want to check connectivity.
