POE Switches and AVAYA IP PHONES

I work as a computer consultant for a company that has an Avaya IP Phone system.
They are re-configuring their office and need to shuffle people into temporary locations while the renovation takes place.

They will need to add a few switches to this ad-hok temporary seating/network since the are moving people away from the network drops.

The phones currently get their power via POE switches out of the server closet with one run to each phone. In the temporary scheme, they would like to take one run from the POE switch in the server room into an 8 port POE (CISCO) switch at the temp location and then connect the phones to the cisco switch.

Will there be any issues with the phones in this configuration?

    Thanks,
    Ric

Well, that is a open question... totally depend on current config in respect to IP adressing, VLAN settings and some more details. Ask the guys who installed the system.

You must replicate the VLAN configuration to the Cisco switch. You must not to have problems with the change.
