    Phone B179 SIP

    Hi there!

    When I tried configure B179 Conference phone,on the display shows "Searching for network address or Abort" then Next after several minutes "Accounts not Configured"... The configure button not works.

    Any idea?

    Is the phone receiving DHCP? Early firmware versions did not support the option 242 string containing L2QVLAN=# that would migrate a phone from the data to voice VLAN. Don't understand why Avaya would release such a thing.

    Try hardcoding the voice VLAN from the phone menu and see if it receives an IP on the correct subnet. Then, web into the phone using a browser and configure the SIP accounts containing the SM registrars.

    Or just replace it with something H.323 like the B189. The B179 requires so much individual attention to provision that I recommend to my customers that they be avoided.
