    POE switching power supply

    Hi good day. I have a question: I can connect to my ip phone 9641G some adapter to turn it into Class 3 POE?

    Are you asking about an adapter for the 9641G which would allow it to provide class 3 PoE to whatever is plugged into the auxiliary (PC) ethernet port? Avaya does not provide such an adapter.

      I recommend another solution to convert the PoE Class 2 to Class 3? ... Or can not ??

        Sorry but your questions don't make any sense.

        Why do you want the telephone to be Class 3 rather than Class 2. You would normally only need to do that if you have several button modules attached.

        If that is the case them move the power switch under the phone from L (low power) to H (high power).

        Obviously the PoE supply port to which the telephone is connected needs to be able to supply Class 3.

          Ok right!! what happens is they asked me to buy a phone that supported feeding class 3 and then the model is only fed with class 2 according to the data sheet.

          one last question: what is the difference between feeding a Class 3 and Class 2
