Voicemail to email- Voicemail Pro 6.0

Tyring to setup voicemail to email with our IP office R6.0 and Voicemail pro system.
Voicemail Pro runs on a win 2008 server.
Using Ip office manager. I've gone into the system menu and configured the SMTP tab with my local SMTP server info. Had to do a reboot after.
I then went into the user menu and voicemail tab. Added the email address under voicemail email and selected COPY .
Is there anything else i need to do??? Its not emailing me the copy of my voice mails.

I know the Win 2008 voicemail pro server can see my SMTP server becuae i installed mozilla thunderbird on the server and was able to send messages using the same SMTP server.

What is your email server? When you configured the SMTP settings in Manager did you point it to your email server? If you are using Microsofts IIS SMTP server it can relay a message to an email server but it is not an email server. You would need Exchange or on the older version of Windows Server, 2003, you had a POP3 server that would recieve the emails. You said you can send an email using Thunderbird but can you recieve an email? This may be your problem. If not you can turn on logging in System Monitor and get some diagnostic information that may tell you where the problem is.

Hi Bourgr, You need to configure the SMTP/Mail Server settings under Control Panel>IP Office Voicemail Pro. The SMTP tab under System is used when you have Embedded voicemail doesn't applies to VMPro.

If you setup the System>SMTP with the SMTP/Mail Server settings, it will email alerts whenever the voicemail goes down.

      Hope this solves your problem.
