does connecting to an Avaya system via SIP restrict any functionality like extension, queue, phone functions, etc..or is all that possible using a 3rd party phone connected to an Avaya system (withstanding that the third party phone has the capability to do said functions in the first place)?

Is there any negatives to connecting via SIP as opposed to a first party connection using an avaya phone connected to an avaya system?
