    Web Collaboration to work remotely

    Hello,
We recently migrated to an Avaya IP Office Server Edition phone system. One of the things we were really excited about was the ability to do web collaboration with the new phone system. Post install, we became aware that in order to enable this functionality we would need to open many ports and forward them to our internal phone system which is currently running on our corporate voice VLAN. For security reasons I'm not a fan of just opening ports and forwarding them to an IP on a production network. I was hoping to seek out some advise on how others are handling situations like this. If someone is running IPO with web collaboration enabled and working remotely I would love your input on how this is configured and how you have addressed security. thank you.

    Hi, nwethe

This is really great feature and work seamlessly from WAN also.
1st of all you dont need to open so any ports on the network. there are few ports if you want onex and communicator should also work from WAN along with web collaboration. and only one port for web collaboration only.

If you are that much concern about security, you can use VPN client.
