    BCM 400 rls 4.0
    I have a problem when transferring calls to an external number that while recording the conversation, the voice volume will go up and down making it difficult to hear the caller.
    Any ideas?

    I think further information would help understand the scenario, such as:

    What type of lines are being used?
    How is the voice recording implemented?
    Are all users affected?
    What type/model of phones are affected?
    If voice recording is not used, is the speech level OK?
    If a call is transferred internally, is the speech level OK?
    Is the BCM patched with the latest available patches? [this is always recommended]
    Is the change in speech volume heard by the BCM user [during an assisted transfer], the external parties, or both?
    Does the voice recording have the changing speech level?

    Such a problem would probably require more in-depth investigations with a Service Request.
