Question Building a Dashboard from CMS Reports?

We already did this for our member service (inbound) call center using a combination of real-time reports and Excel. For some reason the senior manager went to our IS development team for a fancier version.

When he came to me, I cautioned the development manager that he may be looking in a "black hole" of work if he thinks his team can write an application that accesses the database directly.

What do you think? Am I wrong and this is really a piece of cake?

Smile Thank You

That is a good reference. I have also asked for help from our business partner.
