Overview

Private Call Park is where a call is parked at a pre-defined location which is configured by the system Administrator. Only a group of specified Users are able to park a call at that location and only those Users in the same Group can retrieve the call from the location.
The specified users must be using a desk phone or App which supports Presence. The phone buttons are configured with the Call Park location


Parked Call Recall to originating extension when using Private Park Groups is not yet available.


Configuring the system for Private Call Park

1. As a system Administrator, navigate to https://service.cloudoffice.avaya.com/ 

2. Log into your account by entering your email address or user assigned phone number, followed by your password

3. Go to Phone System > Groups > Park Locations

4. Click on +New Park Location - a new dialogue box will be shown

5. Enter a Group name. This should reflect the usage and be short as it will be displayed on the phone next to the button, e.g. "SalesPark 1"

6. The system will assign an Extension Number, but this may be chnaged as desired

7. Select Save. The group will be created and there will be a prompt to configure users, click Yes - the list of Users is shown

8. Select which Users should be defined for this group and click Save. An alert will be shown reminding to configure the Users phone, click OK to accept

9. Go to Users > User [just added to group] > Phones & Numbers > Phones > Presence. The Presence dialgue will open

10. Against the desired Line, click Select a User

11. Locate and select the newly created Call Park Group, then click Done

Warning - the phone will be rebooted as the configuration is updated

12. Repeat steps 9 to 11 for all Users in the newly created Group.

 

Using Private Call Park

To Park a Call

1. On an active call, press the Call Park button you wish to use to Park the call.

> The call will be parked immediatley, hang up the phone
> All phones where the same Call Park button is configured will indicate the Parked Call by either showing a pop-up or flashing the button*

 

To Retrieve a Parked call

1. On a phone where the Call Park button shows a Parked Call, press the Call Park button

> The call will be connected immediatley

 

 *On Avaya J100 series phones, the pop-up is the defult setting but can be changed, please refer to this article:
