If the default password doesn't work as shown in Article Avaya Cloud Office : How to reset a J100 series phone to defaults, please follow the steps below:

 
  1. Press the Menu button [3 horizontal lines on the button]
  2. Use the navigation keys to scroll down until Administration is seen and highlighted
  3. Press the softkey corresponding to Select, or press the line key adjacent to Administration.
  4. Since the default password of 2 7 2 3 8  [C R A F T] did not work, use the phone's Instance ID as an alternative. Follow the steps below to locate a phone's Instance ID.
 
      1. Log in to Service Web as an admin.
      2. Go to Phone System then Phones & Devices.
      3. Under Phones & Devices, go to User Phones.

 
      1. Select the phone that will be reset to default. You may also locate it using the MAC ID.
      2. Once selected, refer at your browser's address bar. The URL will include series of numbers which will be the phone's Instance ID. (800927680032)
      1. Use the Instance ID to reset the phone to default.
 
  1. Scroll down until Reset to defaults is seen and highlighted
  2. Press the softkey corresponding to Select or press the OK button in the center of the navigation cluster, the display will show Clear and reset phone?
  3. Press the softkey corresponding to Reset or press the OK button in the center of the navigation cluster. The phone will then restart and be reset.
 
Note: The above may not work if a WiFi module is installed, in this case, remove the WiFi module, reset the phone then reinstall the WiFi module.
